Why you are not being asked to consent
The rules require consent for anything stored on your device that is not strictly necessary for a service you asked for. Everything listed below is necessary: without it the basket empties between pages, signing in does not persist, and the confirmation page cannot tell whether your payment went through. We set nothing for advertising, nothing for analytics, and nothing that follows you to another site — so there is nothing to ask about, and a banner asking anyway would be theatre.
02
Your basket
Stored in your browser’s local storage, not sent to us as a cookie. It holds the items and quantities you have added so the basket survives a refresh or a closed tab. Clearing your site data empties it.
03
Your session
If you sign in, two cookies hold your session. They are httpOnly, which means no script on the page can read them, and they are removed when you sign out. One of them is restricted to the single address used to renew a session and is not sent anywhere else on the site.
04
Paying by bank
When you pay by bank we note the order number in session storage before sending you to your bank, so that when you come back the confirmation page knows which order to clear the basket for. It is removed as soon as the payment is confirmed, and it disappears when you close the tab in any case.
05
Our payment providers
Card payment fields are served by our payment provider, which may set its own cookies within those fields for fraud prevention and to make the payment work. Those are necessary to take a payment securely, and the provider’s own notice governs them.
06
Turning them off
Every browser lets you block or clear site data. Blocking it here does not stop you browsing, but the basket will empty as you move between pages and you will not be able to stay signed in or complete a checkout — which is what "strictly necessary" means in practice.
No tracking — no consent banner needed
Cookies and local storage
This site sets no advertising or analytics cookies, so there is no consent banner. Here is everything it does store, and why each one is necessary.
